A Bunch of Broken Pots
A short film by Macarena Rubio
2:30 · 2026 · Presented by Pith® Stories
Gaspar Gorodisch makes ceramics the way he lives, with curiosity, humour, and a refusal to throw away what breaks.
SynopsisA Bunch of Broken Pots is the first collaboration between director Macarena Rubio and London-based ceramic artist Gaspar Gorodisch.
The film emerges from Gaspar’s personal relationship with clay, and from how breaking (accidents, mental health, cracks, failed pieces) slowly shaped his way of working.
Through hands, matter and fractures, the short draws a parallel between the body and the material, exploring fragility as a shared condition and transformation as something that happens precisely through what gives way.
Pith® StoriesThe fifth instalment of Pith® Stories, the film and journal series by Pith, the notebook makers Gaspar collaborates with.
Read the full conversation between Gaspar, Macarena and Guadalupe Alvarez on the making of the film, the friendship behind it, and what it means to rebuild from what breaks.
